Article 1    This agreement avoids any trouble with the local fishermen and fishery cooperatives when collecting and surveying organisms for research conducted at the Shimoda Marine Research Center. Furthermore, it ensures that collections are responsible from the standpoint of resource protection and the prevention of environmental destruction. The purpose is to conduct a survey, and comply with relevant laws and regulations such as accident prevention and fishery adjustment rules.

Article 2    If you wish to collect and investigate, contact the relevant faculty member, and after fully discussing the specific work contents with the technical staff of the center, fill out the application form for using the center and apply.

Article 3    From the standpoint of resource protection and prevention of environmental destruction, do not collect organisms other than those subject to research, and do not collect more than necessary.

Article 4    For collections and/or surveys involving diving, please follow the ("Shimoda Marine Research Center regulations for diving work")

Article 5    For collections and/or surveys involving use of the ship/boats, please follow the ("Shimoda Marine Research Center regulations for use of the ship/boats")

Article 6    If the collection / survey destination is outside the Nabeta area, you must stop by the fisheries cooperative branch relevant to the study area in question both before and after the survey.

Article 7    If the collection / survey destination is in the Susaki area, please carry the center collection / survey flag provided at the Susaki branch and return it to the Susaki branch after collection / survey.

Article 8    Before and after the collection / survey, notify the center office and fill out the whiteboard provided in front of the office.

Article 9    Report the collection location, date and time, type and quantity of the collected organisms.

Article 10    As a general rule, independent surveys and nighttime collections / surveys are not permitted.

Article 11    If the collector / investigator causes damage to another person or institution's property, etc. either intentionally or by gross negligence, the cost equivalent to the damage shall be borne by the collector / investigator.

Article 12    The Center is not responsible for any accidents that occur during collection / investigation.

Article 13    If a center user violates this agreement or seriously interferes with the operation of the center, the center director may revoke or suspend the approval of its use.
